When sisters are born 5 years and 2 days apart, you know what that means… a joint birthday party!
I’ll admit, as a near 7-year-old, Sara Beth wasn’t initially thrilled by the idea of sharing her birthday party with her 2-year-old sister, but she got past it quickly and very graciously shared all the attention. The theme was “cowgirls and cowboys”, so I had to take a lot of pictures to capture all this – sorry for the long post that is about to follow, but these girls are also my nieces, so that’s what happens when I’m around them. Lots of pictures.
Had to get the decorations that my sister set up, and got a few of western-styled Sara Beth while Lilly napped, and then the chaos and ponies began.
This is what the day looked like: Some old family friends, some cousins, ponies, boots, freckles & pigtails, hay, necklace-making, water-pistols, cake, a pinata, cowgirls with dirty knees, and some lovely end-of -afternoon lighting.
