Feeling sooo lucky to have one of my oldest, dearest friends visiting me this week! You see, she lives in a small, very hard to reach place in Alaska, and I haven’t seen her in nearly 3 years. We’ve been through a lot of times together (A LOT), and since I’ve last seen her she’s had a daughter – so I’m seeing my friend as a mom for the first time – and she’s been doing it for a year already!
It turns out, having a quickly moving 1-year-old in my small living space means a lot of watching – and intercepting (I’ve never seen a child this small climb so well). But more than that, I’m trying to take advantage of this week with them by doing as much as possible – the things they can’t do in Alaska. Today we did a 1-year-photo shoot at Atlanta’s biggest park – her first trip to a park, first time in a swing! Haven’t gotten to those yet, but here are a few of other firsts – first walk in warm weather, first nap outside, and first trip to a donut shop. (Ok, that one was more about mommy’s friends’ needs.)
I have a few sessions I need to finish up, and those will be coming soon! Just thought I’d show a peak of what’s keeping me busy this week…
